Corporation Bank - Ratings Lowered

Overview

Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI Ratings or CI), the international credit rating agency, today announced that it has lowered the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of Corporation Bank (Corpbank) to 'BB-' from 'BB' in view of the severe impairment of capital, the high and rising non-performing loan (NPL) ratio, weak coverage ratios, low profitability and still elevated credit risks in certain sectors to which the Bank has exposures.
