Ratings of BMCE Bank of Africa Lowered; Outlook is Stable
Overview
Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI Ratings or CI), the international credit rating agency, today announced that it has lowered the Long-Term Foreign Currency Rating (LT FCR) and Short-Term Foreign Currency Rating (ST FCR) of BMCE Bank of Africa (BMCE) to 'BB+' and 'B', respectively, from 'BBB-' and 'A3'. At the same time, CI Ratings has also assigned to BMCE a Bank Standalone Rating (BSR) of 'bb-' and a Core Financial Strength (CFS) rating of 'bb-'. The Outlook for the LT FCR and BSR is Stable.
