Ratings of Oriental Bank of Commerce Affirmed; Outlook Revised to ‘Negative’

Overview

Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI Ratings or CI), the international credit rating agency, today announced that it has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of India's Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) at 'BB'. The Bank's FSR was revised downwards to this level in May 2016 based on the substantial increase in impaired loans that year, as well as on low coverage ratios and declining profitability parameters at that time.
